Building a Business Case for Well-Resourced IPC Programs

When:  Nov 5, 2025 from 13:30 to 14:30 (ET)

Description

The COVID-19 pandemic brought increased focus to the need for robust healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention and control (IPC) programs. Yet we experience IPC teams that are not appropriately equipped and supported to do the work of protecting our patients and healthcare workers from infectious threats within and outside of our healthcare facilities. This three-part course will explore how to build and sustain effective infection prevention and control (IPC) programs, starting with an overview of the key structures and resources needed for success, followed by practical guidance on developing a strong business case to support and secure program resources. Discussions will emphasize the critical role of teamwork in advocating for support, integrating IPC strategies across disciplines, and fostering a culture of infection prevention within healthcare organizations.
